The Winker was a milestone for Delva One, marking our very first ground-up new construction project. It earned its name from the slightly undersized lot it was built on — a small challenge that inspired creativity and thoughtful design. Despite the compact footprint, the result was a spacious and well-designed 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom split floor plan that offered a grand and open feel.
The home was outfitted with recessed lighting throughout, durable and stylish luxury vinyl plank flooring, and a sleek modern board-and-batten exterior. The heart of the home — the kitchen — featured granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, a glass tile backsplash, and a large island equipped with a built-in range and range hood. Additional touches included a farmhouse sink, microwave, dishwasher, and ample counter space, creating a kitchen that was both functional and beautiful.
Both bathrooms were completely new and designed with modern touches, including fully tiled shower and tub walls, rainfall shower heads, and clean, contemporary finishes. Bedroom closets were outfitted with convenient shelving systems, providing practical and flexible storage. Washer and dryer hookups were located inside the home for easy access, and the attached two-car garage offered additional functionality and space.
Built with energy efficiency in mind, The Winker was constructed using BAT insulation throughout the ceiling and walls of the living areas — including full insulation in the garage — to help combat the Florida heat. The exterior was finished with a clean, board-and-batten facade and enclosed with a modern privacy fence, creating the perfect setting for a future backyard oasis.
The Winker not only showcased Delva One’s capability to build from the ground up, but also set the standard for craftsmanship, design, and smart space planning on even the most modest of lots.
